Thanks all for your great responses on Vanessa Minnillo's wedding hair. To achieve that look, I used Italy Hairfashion Texture Spray on each section of my blowout. I used a 1.5 inch Pico round brush (spornette.com). After each section was dried, I pin curled the hair to set. Then I made sure she stayed in the air conditioned room to ensure my set. Vanessa's hair is naturally straight-ish, she has massive amounts of it (it's all her hair.... Never have I ever had to add more hair) we did a slight tease to the crown... And I kept my fingers crossed that her hair didn't melt in the hot Necker Island sun. After the ceremony we did a hair change... I teased the entire head... And gave her an undo that took 3 minutes.
